Project Manager

Rakowitz Engineering Project Managers are responsible to take projects from inception to completion.  They will work with clients and team members to design projects and coordinate approvals with local jurisdictions.  Additionally, Project Managers assist in the bidding process as well as see the project through construction.  Management of team members and ensuring projects are completed on budget are also key duties with this position.

Senior Project Manager

Senior Project Managers oversee the success of multiple projects and multiple Project Managers.  They work closely with clients in the project development stage, as well as during project design to define expectations ensure client satisfaction.  Additionally, they are responsible for budgets and asset allocations to ensure the success and profitability of their team.

Engineer in Training (EIT)

EIT’s at Rakowitz Engineering work under Project Managers to design and draft construction plans for land development projects.  Design efforts will focus on drainage, grading, streets, and utilities for residential and commercial projects.  EIT’s also work closely with reviewers at cities and counties throughout the approval process of construction plans.  Once approved, EIT’s may work with directly with contractors, clients and survey crews to address questions and oversee project success.  We highly recommend our EIT’s pursue the Professional Engineering license, and will support you in acquiring your PE allowing you to advance within the company.

Surveyor in Training (SIT)

SIT’s at Rakowitz Engineering work under Survey Managers to prepare boundary surveys.  SIT efforts include deed research, CAD drafting, field crew preparation, and writing of legal descriptions.  Additionally SIT may be required to join survey crew in the field for data acquisition.  SIT’s also work closely with the engineering department to coordinate getting survey efforts to support engineering design and construction services.  We highly recommend our SIT’s pursue the Registered Professional Land Surveyor license, and will support you in acquiring your RPLS allowing you to advance within the company.

Engineering Intern

Engineering Interns ideally will progress to EIT’s at Rakowitz Engineering after graduation.  During the internship period, interns will work with EIT’s to design and draft construction plans for land development projects.  Design efforts will focus on drainage, grading, streets, and utilities for residential and commercial projects.  Other duties may require working in the field with survey crews, contractors, or inspectors.
